Hello there fellow ticketing enthusiasts! Can you believe it’s already the end of March? Time flies when you’re having fun & facilitating tickets in the process. Ready to dive in to the March update? Buckle up, grab your favorite beverage and let’s dive in!

March 23 Stats Snapshot

Tickets Sold:

During the month of March, a total of 140,643 tickets were issued by protocol partners. To fuel this ticketing activity, partners utilized roughly 22,067 GET which has been locked into event smart contracts until tickets are scanned!

Events Facilitated:

A total of 34,369 tickets were scanned at events which in turn unlocked a total of 26,434 GET from the event contracts with 37591.68 GET being sent to the staking contract for rewards! The total GET sent to the staking contract is higher this month than the amount unlocked from event contracts due to the build up of staking rewards before the program began at the end of February!

Event Round Up

The last weeks saw several new events and partnership pop up. A quick run down of some of the most eye catching ones:

Coinbureau Live

This year’s Coinbureau Live conference will have GET-powered tickets!

Proof of POAP

We released a use case blog around our POAP integration, which was premiered at NFT Paris by white-label integrator GUTS Tickets.

The blog covers the mechanism used to seamlessly bring thousands of POAPs into the hands of event attendees as part of the ticketing flow.

Lucas Verra, co-founder of POAP Studio:

We are pleased with the results of the GUTS x POAP integration, which led to the distribution of over 3,000 POAPs in a native and efficient manner. The integration process between the two platforms was smooth, providing us with growing confidence that attendees declaring their wallet addresses would successfully receive their POAPs. While we maintain a b2b outlook, this collaboration has demonstrated the potential for further developments in the blockchain domain.’

You can read the full blog, which was shared across POAP’s channels, in its entirety here:

SEG3

Another prestigious pull is the announcement of SEG3 being ticketed by GUTS Tickets:

SEG3 is the meeting place for the global sports, entertainment and gaming industries to learn and collaborate with the web3 community.

Immersive and web3 technologies are enabling a wave of new opportunities for organisations to reimagine their brand, relationship with their audience and revenue models.

SEG3 will shine a light on those leading the charge, with two days jam packed with an array of interactive sessions, immersive experiences and deep dives into innovative use cases all being used across sports, entertainment and gaming industries.

A glimpse from last year’s event.

DI-RECT

DI-RECT are back hot off the press with a new ticket sale! Adding a new event date for their December tour and giving thousands of additional fans an opportunity to see their euphoric live show.

See you at NFT.NYC?

In two weeks the annual NFT.NYC conference kicks off, bringing together NFT thoughtleaders & projects (interested) in the space. Our CEO Maarten Bloemers will be leading a panel on the main stage titled: ‘Smart Contracts, Wallets and NFT Ticketing: Enforce Behavior through Technology’. We look forward to seeing a nitty gritty conversation about the ins & outs of NFT ticketing!

Besides the panel and usual conferencing activity the event will bring, the trip to NY will allow for more meetings with partners and prospects in attendance and the wider US region. If you will be there and would like to grab a coffee, do let a team member know on Discord.

Spookslot: Access into an Attraction that will last for Eternity

In March the news broke that GET Protocol is the official NFT partner of a new project by Dutch amusement park De Efteling, wherein our NFT distribution facilities are used to issue ‘Digital Keys’ to all employees at the park as a gift & homage of a recently closed attraction, ‘Spookslot.’ can be found here.

As huge advocates for NFT token gating & the belief that it is the future of community building and fan engagement, this project is a testament to the direction in which we are building. It further encourages our ambitions to continue to reduce the friction of this technology so that any attendee, artist or event participant can make full use of the multi-platform, interoperable nature of the technology.

Staking update

The first full month of staking being live saw a steady increase of participation, all the way to a current position of 4,827,307 GET at the time of writing, that’s 27.7% of the circulating supply!

Now the fun starts! With staking rewards flowing steadily and involvement at a serious threshold, the bells and whistles can come out.

Firstly, for braggin’ rights, if you are among the early stakers, we’ve got a special Ticketing Revolution OG pass for you. This badge will reveal itself over time and it might just unlock perks in the future!

You can get your hands on one through the xGET token gated ticketing shop on our Bonfire Revolution Hub. Speaking of Revolution Hub, there just may be a new first come, first serve staking reward revealing itself in the coming week around an upcoming Web3 event, so keep your eyes peeled for that! 👀

Btw — you can now also track GET Protocol Revenues and Fees on DefiLlama!

The Ticketing Revolution Needs You!

With such a substantial portion of commitment locked in, it’s time to get the ball rolling on aligning participants around the movement and creating external momentum. For the TicketingRevolution to spread globally, we undeniably need further education and an organic flow of new interest. This means visibility!

We have now reached a comfortable enough level of stakers where it is safe to say that those with long term commitments now have xGET representative of this.

This means that the path is cleared to reintroduce governance.

In Q2 of this year we want to ease back into it, along the following guidelines:

  • Team members will individually introduce various DAO proposals, all centered around furthering the awareness and education of the Ticketing Revolution.
  • GET stakers can assess whether they see sufficient value in these proposals, the proposing team member can substantiate their reasoning on Discord, and the proposals can be voted on accordingly.
  • Voting can only be done in xGET — on either Ethereum or Polygon.*
  • If more than half of the votes are a ‘yes’, the proposal passes and is executed. Otherwise, it fails.
  • The proposed DAO expenses will be denominated in xGET — meaning that DAO GET will be staked prior to being issued, ensuring further commitment from the recipient.
  • These proposals will not amount to more than 10K xGET per month total.

*Prior to the first vote we will need to do some development work for the voting mechanism to properly include xGET. We will keep the community informed once this has taken place.

The objective of this quarterly period is to justify the longer-than-average commitment for stakers, while also gaining insights and organic feedback on how to further mature and decentralize the DAO in a manner that benefits its participants and cause.

Updates will be shared in the ‘DAO Discourses’ channel on Discord.

Community Affiliate Program

In January’s blog we shared insights into our ideal Customer Profile for the White-Label and Digital Twin which dictates the types of prospects that we target for our inbound and outbound sales efforts. Our ‘ICP’ is chosen based on the prospects we believe will pair optimally with our infrastructure & importantly are at the right size, location and check other business metrics to proceed with integration.

With our ICP & business development insights shared, we think it’s the perfect time to offer a new exciting opportunity to community members that want to take their commitment to the next level.

Beginning in April, we’ll be trialing an affiliate program for a select number of community members that wish to participate in bringing in quality prospects that match our ICP criteria.

Any qualified lead brought in through our contact form to our sales team by an affiliate will reward xGET that is added to a shared prize pool for the affiliate group.

Each affiliate will receive a unique tagged URL that they can shared with a prospect.

It’s important to note that an affiliate is expected to perform good due diligence, strike up a conversation with a prospect, share insights into our technology & get them to inbound through the unique URL contact form. Performing these steps well, with a prospect that fits our also increase the likely hood of the lead being ICP qualified and a reward being shared.

Why a shared reward pool?

As the amount of affiliates to begin with will be kept small; we believe in the power of the group working together to share strategies, smartly target ICP worthy prospects & most importantly eliminate the possibility of a PvP styled outreach where affiliates compete for the same prospects.

With the shared prize pool, we hope to encourage every affiliate to be open, honest & share wisdom with the group. To facilitate this discussion, a new Discord channel will be opened for affiliates to engage with each other & discuss outreach!

Any ICP qualified leads tallied will add xGET to the pot that will be distributed equally to all affiliates at the end of each month!

So with that being said, do you want to be an affiliate? Head to the Google Form below & leave your Discord handle & a brief note on why you’d like to join. We’ll pick a limited number of affiliates that fit our criteria.

Dynamic Seating: Product Article

Showing the differentiating features and benefits that define our system is a crucial component to onboarding more and more global event organizers. We recently released a new product feature article centerred around a silent but powerful component of our White-Label — Dynamic Seating.

In contract to a traditional seat picking system, our dynamic seating doesn’t allow attendees to select specific seats for an event, instead they pick from a section of the venue & the system handles the rest.

This results in a number of benefits, namely flexibility to accomodate groups and single ticket buyers with ease, the ability to re-assign seats based on requests, etc. any disability priority seating & further more reduces support related seating requests significantly.

Laurens van Westing, who works with Djebber to setup ticket sales shares his thoughts on the Dynamic Seating:

‘What really makes the Dynamic Seating potent is the flexibility it provides..

It has benefits for all involved parties: the organizer can make sure every group is seated together even when not all tickets are bought in one purchase, it gives the venue the flexibility to make last-minute changes to the floor layout, and the ticket buyer still has a saying in where they are seated

About 36 hours before the event I simply click on the “Autoseat” button and within seconds the venue is filled to perfection. It efficiently looks at where to place all ticket buyers and assigns them there in the best fitting way. It automatically fills “gaps” of two and three seats with groups of the same size so that no space is unused.’

Curious to learn more about the system? Read it here:

Alrighty everyone, that’s it for March, we hope you enjoyed this round up & look forward to seeing you back here this time next month!

As always keep your eyes peeled on the Discord & Twitter for more updates in the meantime.
